the amazon reviews really turned me off.

has anyone bought a 560 this year and can confirm they dont lighten the frame lock side and significantly reduced lightening cuts on the grip side?

6ounces isnt too heavy but i just thought id get the domino first, get my facts straight and pick up a Zt knife next time.

You're gonna love that freakin knife!!
Carrying my blue twill today for flipping and flicking while driving......and cutting stuff too....but mainly flipping and flicking!!
Great knife!!
Enjoy!

I guess I should say 6 ounces isn't too heavy for a knife but is too heavy for a titanium framelock. I'll pick one up someday or maybe just save for the Xm itself

I like both, but the Domino is definitely better suited to EDC. Loving my Blue Weave also. It's been sitting on the bedside table to be fondled while watching the news each evening. ;)

I picked up an 0561 around Memorial Day. Steel lock bar insert, solid unmilled titanium slab, but they could not have skelotonized the liner under the G10 any more than did. Could definitely have been using up old stock of liners. If you like the size of the Domino, check out some of the smaller ZTs, 0900 and 0450 are both great. And I love my 0562CF. I think I've only carried my 0561 once since I got that.

Playing with a knife while driving isn't the smartest thing to do. Remember seeing a thread about what happens in a car wreck with closed knives being found open and basically just all over. A accident can happen in a flash, and that knife you are playing with could just make a minor wreck into a fight for life. Just saying, I view it like texting, just ain't worth it.

Now, to stay on topic. I didn't know spydereco made flippers. Feeling more drawn to drinking the kool aid.

I had a 0560 and liked it pretty good. It was just a little big for me. I like the 0562CF I have now much better. Little smaller, but still a decent sized knife.

You will not be disappointed in the Domino...great knife! I've added a blue lightning strike carbon fiber scale to mine. Definitely a keeper!

Huge domino fan right here. Carried mine daily for 6 months or so (blue cf version) actually sold my southard because the domino is a better fit for me. I really enjoy having a few opening options and the domino nails that. Prefer the middle finger flick on this one.

Funny when I read the OP I was thinking about suggesting the 562CF. Looks like that has pretty much been done. I will say we do not ever get complaints back on the 560's we sell!

I belive ZT did stop skeltonizing the liners and frame on the 0560 because it was a lot of work for literally grams worth of weight savings. When you're dealing with a knife that big, there's no measurable difference in the real world between 5.9 and 6.0 ounces.

So apparently we know each other through an old friend of mine! Pretty small world!

Somehow I thought the Domino was smaller than that. It's definitely jockeying for position on my next knife to buy list.

The picture is a little deceiving - the 0560 is a little more than an inch longer, overall - but I thought the Domino was smaller, as well.

FWIW, I can open both my 0560 and XM-18 using the flipper or thumbstud (including a middle finger flick). I've also done a modified Spydie drop (no hole) with both. Plenty of options.

I'm assuming you are referring to my above pic? That is a 0562CF with the Domino, not a 0560...guess I didn't clarify. I just threw it in there to give an alternate comparison.

That makes more sense - but I still thought the Domino was smaller (I don't think I ever really looked at the specs...if I did, I didn't get past the blade length).

so i decided to just get both...

now i have the southard the domino and the zt0561. hoping for a good one.
the domino flips really well, but i wish it had a stonewash or satin finnish.
what are some other fun flippers?
