Hello all just picked up a CS trench hawk since the reviews were stellar and the price was great. The only thing I read that is a down fall is the smooth handle is hard to grip, so my question is what have you all done to yours to get a better grip?

There are numerous possibilities:
- rubber tubing
- camo form
- hockey tape
- structuring with a soldering iron

Ookami

Stippling the handle with a punch or nail set would improve the grip quite a bit.

At first I was trying to think of a way to do a cord wrap but I think the hockey tape is a good idea and since its gona be a user/thrower it doesn't have to be pretty.

rather than cut into the handle for grip.
Why not try an old 10-? Inch piece of ordinary bicycle tube over the handle?

I did it and it works great. no slip grip and you didn't have to f_up your handle.

Hockey-stick tape gets gunky on the hands, real fast -- you don't want that. Try cow leather lace. I wrapped their gunstock club with black leather lace, rough-side out; the gripping quality is solid, yet soft, and extremely anti-slippage. It's just a superior material.
