  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just picked up my first Spyderco!

Just a little update, this has been in my pocket since I picked it up Friday morning and it has gotten some use. I broke down about 50 cardboard boxes, did food prep (veggies and fruit), removed a splinter, cut a carpet pad down to size and cut my finger. Man is this knife sharp! It went through everyone of those tasks with ease and it is still hair shaving sharp. So far this is going to be in my pocket for the foreseeable future. It knocked out my Houge EX01 and my Quartermaster. This will be in my rotation from now on. I wish I would have tried Spyderco months ago. This will definitely not be my last Spyderco.

I do not have a Manix 2 XL, but I can tell you the Millie is large. I have big hands and this fits me perfect. I think the Manix 2 XL has a wider blade and it is about an 1/8 of an inch shorter than the Millie, the Handle on the Millie is one of the best I have ever held in my hand. The Handle on the Manix is shorter compared to the Millie.

The Military is a heck of a way to get into Spyderco! Good call though.

My first was a CaraCara, my next is going to be a Para 2, if I can find one in stock...

I have been looking at the Gayle Bradley since you replied to me and I noticed that it is made in Taiwan and not the US. Is the fit and Finish the same quality as the ones that come out of the US?

F & F on Taiwan knives is on par with (and generally considered better than) Golden-produced knives. Buy with confidence.

+1

Taiwan examples are outstanding. Just recieved a GB Folder, most happy w/ it. Makes my 3rd Taiwanese built Spyder. Very Excellent.

My Golden and Seki models all have good fit and finish, but the Taichung models edge them out very slightly...that factory is excellent.
