Wow! I went completely through all of the pictures. So many cool knives and such great photography. It made me decide to clean up my EDC and man did it clean up well! I broke it down like normal and scrubbed everything down with a toothbrush using hot water and dish soap. I polished the blade and it almost looks new

Anyhow, I was talking about lighting the other day and I noticed in the just pictures some of you guys seem to have some very controlled lighting. In tricky lighting situations I would usually just take my DSLR and auto-bracket, combine the exposures and voila all the detail you could ask for. For some reason I wanted to try something different.
So, I got out my OLD point and shoot. It really is antiquated. Then I grabbed my clean EDC and went to town on a card board box. I made a light box for about ten cents! Anyhow, I wonder what creative solutions you all have for the beautiful lighting in some of the shots I viewed in the just picture threads.
I always find ways to use natural lighting, so this light box thing is new to me.
Here are a couple I just took real quickly (I know they are not great, I am just having fun cutting up stuff and using my P/S
)
The second pic shows how I 'enhanced' the thumbstud. I did that to feel, not for looks.
She cleaned up pretty well:thumbup: Thanks for any ideas in regards to artificial lighting
