Wow, cant believe one of mine made it!

The photo was taken right after it rained with the sun behind the clouds. I love reading about the lighting etc many of you guys do. I have an old camera with 3.2 megapixel and macro.....Think it is more then 6 years old now...lighting is what God gives me at that moment.

Cool thread!

This is one of the scariest threads I have ever seen. All. Too. Nice. Must. Resist. Buying. Sebenzas. AHHHHHH

I try to take most of my pics in a shaded area, but with as much natural light as I can get. Seems to work some of the time.

Man there are some real beauties in those photos. Great thread.

I agree, great thread. Like digital chocolate. I hope it's ok putting one of mine up. My photo skills aren't that great. Gonna try the light box thing maybe.

Awesome! The more pictures the better.

I hear you guys on natural light. I haven't even used a flash in a few years. Another natural light that works great, in addition to the ones suggested, is in the woods. The shade in the woods can be the best lighting. Maybe it is because of the high trees and the way the light is bounced around so many times. Anyhow, I am still listening for suggestions and the additional pics are awesome IMO.

As for being on the fence on making a light box, I say if there is any interest at all just try it like I did it. Any box, cut out two sides and a top. Use paper towel to cover the openings (adhere with scotch tape:D). Put a piece of matte photo paper as a backdrop. Thats it. I used a couple flashlights at night. Propped up on kleenex boxes. I put a light bouncer diffuser (whatever they are called) to cover the top for a couple pics. But the box can be tossed in the direct sunlight with all 3 openings covered in paper towel to give awesome controlled natural light. For the best results you would want to cover the openings with a translucent film and use three lights at specific color temp ratings. Anyhow, that is more involved then my experimentation will go with the idea:)
