I loved that show.

Spotted a nice necker in "Deadwood" season 1 ep. 1. It looks like a patch knife but the paper cartridges and patches were gone by these times.

For those who are interested there are also some nice neckers (patch knives) in Outlander. I believe in the later seasons...
