This is a knife that I like, in terms of size, grip and weight/pocket space ratio.
I often carry it when I have to go to the city by public transport

How would the French react if they knew that you had an American knife in your pocket instead of a French one? especially when your on transit?

I absolutely love this knife. I stumbled across a less than mint one on a table at a gun show, and after checking the price, quickly put it down. lol

How would the French react if they knew that you had an American knife in your pocket instead of a French one? especially when your on transit?

Even if they saw the knife I don't think most of them would have any idea of its origin.
As for the railroad agents or the policemen, they would confiscate it like any other knife, except if they came across an understanding and thinking agent.
