My old Talwar XL never had lock stick, but I got the new one and it had it pretty bad when pocket deploying with the Wave-ish. It went away after a few days or so of just opening and closing it. Had to really push the back lock onto a table edge or similar to get it to unlock for a bit. Didn't have to do anything drastic to fix it though.I sent the Counter Point 1 back and got this Voyager. This guy has lock stick, unfortunately. I posted about it in the Cold Steel sub forum if you guys want to pop in there and maybe help me out.
Hopefully mine goes away on its own as wellMy old Talwar XL never had lock stick, but I got the new one and it had it pretty bad when pocket deploying with the Wave-ish. Oddly enough, it wasn't sticky until I added some Rem Oil.Try a drop of CLP where the TRI-AD grabs the blade. It seemed bone dry. I just added CLP to mine last night and it feels better today.
Cold steel's Tri-ad Locks often have burs on them that need to be smoothed out, I usually just use the corner of a table to disengage the lock about 20-30 times when I first get them, and then wipe down the lock/lube.Oddly enough, it wasn't sticky until I added some Rem Oil.What in the world.
Will do, thank youCold steel's Tri-ad Locks often have burs on them that need to be smoothed out, I usually just use the corner of a table to disengage the lock about 20-30 times when I first get them, and then wipe down the lock/lube.
just don't cut yourself in the process.
edit: oh and before I forget check the positioning of the spring, as rarely they can be out of place and cause problems.
