Not enough contrast for my liking, so I disassembled again and buffed the titanium handles to a raw finish.

I found these knives at my grandfather's places. One is the current version of the Helle Nying knife, which belonged to my grandfather on my father's side of the family. The other is the old version of the Helle Nying knife, which comes from my mother's side. Both knives appear to have been heavily used. I quickly sharpened them, but I didn't make any corrections to the edges.

Originally designed in 1977 with Helles "secret" triple laminated steel patented in 1967. Super steel qualities of the time, still very capable...just not something you can brag about.
