Props to you!!! It looks fine to me!!! I'd use it.... Next time the Mrs asks you to cut something give her a spoonI made this knife. It's made of Bohler n690 steel. I obviously tried to make it look like a kabar bk2. My wife says it's just an ugly piece of metal, but for some reason I love this knife. I've been using it for years for everything.

Thank you very much. I'm happy to hear that. I almost fell out of my chair because I was laughing. I'm gonna make her read this right now. Let him know there are fellow knife lovers out there. That way she can't bully me anymoreProps to you!!! It looks fine to me!!! I'd use it.... Next time the Mrs asks you to cut something give her a spoon![]()

That way he can't bully me anymore. It's definitely a good idea, but since he spends so much money on ridiculous advertising knives, the kitchen is full of "real ugly metal."
Here is another failed attempt. I could not get it in the form I wanted.

Custom?
Kelley Ward/Hard Edge Knives, yeah... handmade those were 1095, 3V, 1095 if I recall correctly... he makes lots of different styles. His wrapped handles are really nice with tons of traction and very durable soaked in marine epoxy. Not sure how durable the reptile or stingray skin would be but overall tough AF utilitarian approach to Asian style. Most of his stuff is just rough enough to use it if you don't already have 100 users, hahah. You can find his page, but not sure how active he's been lately. He used to be in the Bay Area, CA and he's a smart guy... so he probably moved somewhere nicer.Custom?
I guess I spelled it wrong since English is not my native language. I am not a woman. The person I was talking about was my wifeThat looks good too!!!! WTF is wrong with him....Keep up the good work!
Even more props because you are a woman!!!! Not many making blades!!! Have at it... Whatever makes you smile!!!
Oppsss. Sorry. First I thought you were a man, then your response made me feel like a idiot because it said he made fun of you!I guess I spelled it wrong since English is not my native language. I am not a woman. The person I was talking about was my wife![]()
I am so sorry for that. I realized later. Totally my fault. We had so much fun at home thanks to you. Let me share with you a knife that my wife likes. She wants to use it in the Kitchen, but I do not allow it because its steel is D2. Handle is hybrid. I used a Fluorescent acrylic. In this way, the green part on the handle of the knife makes it easy to find the knife at night.Oppsss. Sorry. No worries stuff happens!!!
Nice knives and interesting discussion. Any of the knives you have posted photos of would be welcome in the kitchens of the people I know. You are very kind, thanks. I made them all for the woods. They might be heavy for the kitchen, but I like the idea. I added a fluorescent piece like that to the handle because I want it to glow at night. At first I was going to mix phosphorus and resin, but I thought phosphorus would be toxic.Nice knives and interesting discussion. You know women. They have this urge to throw everything in the dishwasherThat's a great looking blade too!!! I love the profile.... Handles a bit small for my mitts but damn do e piece of work......D2 is quasi-stainless!!! Anywhere from 10-12% chromium!!! As long as you wash by hand and dry it it will be fine........Just don't let the Mrs. Play with it!!!![]()
You know women. They have this urge to throw everything in the dishwasher. They don't understand the bond between us and knives (just kidding, of course such a generalization is wrong, I don't want to offend anyone)
. These are our precious companions. I've taken this advice to heart, I'll never let him play with it
. I have never shared my knives anywhere before and you have encouraged me. Yes, the handle is really small. I will share more often from now on. This way I realize the mistakes in the knife.
