Sorry mimimize,you will have to ask Blame it on God. I do not own one yet. I am still on the fence.I think it was designed as a rescue knife.
It depends on how you use it, But it should be fine for most tasks. Obviously it is useless for penetration, but so is a box cutter.
"Hard use".....It will work as a knife should. It will cut things as a knife should. The "thinner" blade just makes it good at being a knife. The blade is .120 thick, 1/8 of an inch is .125, So it's not some frail weakling. I have nothing against "hard use" knives. I own a few, But if I need a pry bar I'll use a pry bar. If I need a screwdriver I'll use my leatherman. If I need to baton through something I'll use a fixed blade that can handle it.
If you like the design you should get it. When used as a knife it will be fine. The handle is comfortable, it opens smoothly and it's VG-10.
