Couldn't get the right prices to show, or for it to take my order so I emailed Mr. Mason as a route.

Ordered a 110 with a S30V blade, ram horn scales, brass bolsters, and a tan sheath.

Hope it works smoothly this way for now.

...I sure hope the "quality" I'm hoping for comes with the new "Custom"...That will say a lot about the continued viability of the present "Custom Shoppe"...

Darryl,
I'm with you on that. This is my second try at it. First one didn't go well and took me a long time to come back around to giving it a second chance.

Would love to see a few more options (like thumb notches on the back of the 110 blade) or maybe a thumb stud.

Not asking for the world but I think a few more options would sell more knives for them and would give them more appeal.

Will have to see. Several of us should have new samples in hand soon to evaluate.

Dave- God gave you 2 kidneys for a reason, you only need one:D Think of it as a genetic savings account:D

...Got all the fingers crossed...Well gotta do some "Custom" yard work...LOL...:barf::p

Has anyone here bought the Damascus with plain buff horn and nickel bolsters and pins?

I'd like to know how you liked it if anyone has gotten one.

It seems like a good combination to me.

yup i got one with out pins and it is sweet..

Well, I went ahead and ordered the Damasque/plain buff/nickel/nickel.

THEN:

I went ahead and ordered a 154CM/KOA/nickel/nickel.

Both estimated shipping dates were June 2.

If that holds true they could be here on Friday.

Well, now that things have settled down, I just ordered a CS 110 with Horn, Brass, Rivets, Finger Grooves and S30V.

I find that the prices are in line with an expected value and the price increase is reasonable. The only down side is that Canadian shipping went from $20 to $30 via FedEx. Oh well, with the price of gas, an increase is to be expected.

Now that the prices are lower, I can maintain my once a month purchase of Custom Shoppe knives. I think that the best I can do for Buck, is to continue to remain a loyal customer and hope that things turn around soon.

 Well said ;) I hope I can do my part!!! :D

Folding hunter in 154CM & NS & elk with a tan sheath for $160.50.
Just pulled the trigger.

Email confirmation:

Thank You For your Order!
Order Number: XXXXX
Expected Shipping Date: 06/02/2008

I had the order up in another window for a few hours. A change here, another change there, back to the earlier choices ... then I clicked back to it with the elk, that did it, looked too good to pass up.

To answer what you said in the other thread, I do like the look of rivets, but on wood more than the elk or stag, which already have that extra texture.

My next will be a wood handle with brass bolsters and rivets, maybe the koa.

It's all good, and they're all Bucks! :D

( RED hi-lights by me...:) )

...Sure looks like UPS is gonna have a busy Monday in Post Falls after all this...:D...I don't recall Buck using UPS on deliveries for any of my orher "Customs" though...Hope they don't just toss it at the house from the road...:eek::rolleyes:

Since I had the option, I chose Priority Mail. While I have never in all the years I've lived here had a problem with any delivery service, only USPS can put the packages inside the building, which is just that much more secure. With small packages especially, I worry about some of the kids who come through the area.

...Another small detail I obviously over-looked...:o...I've never had a problem with USPS Priority either and my having UPS deliver is a BOO BOO I hope I don't end up payin' for...:cool:
