Just plunked for an Eros. No Columbia River Knife & Tool Forum?

freewheeling...If you are looking for something stout with a 3" blade from CRKT, you might want to take a look at the Drifter...I have one, and it's a perfect little folder, and the price is very low for this quality...The ONLY "problem" with this one is that it's also only "tip-down" carry, but for me, that's not a deal-breaker since it's not a"combat knife" so I have no need to open it very quickly.

The M16-01S from CRKT is also a very good one, but the blade is a HAIR over 3".

Thanks Dann. Looks like you know something about 3" limits if you live around the Seattle area (or at least western Washington). I'm not entirely sure about the size limit in DC. The laws are probably deliberately vague and although there is mention of knives with blades "over three inches" being "dangerous weapons" the key seems to be intent. My take is that knives with blades over three inches will get extra scrutiny, but I have a Skyline and a Speedform that I'm thinking about carrying, and even possibly the ZT 0566 if the prosperity angels are good to me. I suppose the Eros is eventually going to wear in, but it has a pretty nasty detente out of the box that's wearing my finger ragged. Sure is handsome though.

Have had this for a couple of weeks now. Detente still REALLY STRONG, but I'm getting a bit more used to it. Also the locking is extremely late, with 100% lock up, but that may be normal for all I know with such a small lock bar and blade. The knife is definitely growing on me, though.
