Just posting random numbers

That means it's mine for $275 then right? Wouldn't want to break the rules

Perhaps reading the rules would help. New guys should most definitely read the rules before selling or trading, it may avoid a warning and even an infraction.

Read both "Rules of Selling and Trading" as well as " Warning, infractions and banning". Reading and most importantly, understanding this, will help in avoiding any unnecessary hot water for you and Andy. Unless you prefer hot water...

The rules say "no eBay style auctioning allowed". They do not say "no auctions". My auction was not like eBay and.therefore not in ebays style. But thank you for chiming in. It's always fascinating to hear what you have to say. You would make a good mod.

Let me try to clear up some of the confusion. In the Exchange forums (which this is not), auctions of any type are not allowed. In most cases, linking to active external auctions (ebay, fund raising site etc) is not allowed anywhere on the site unless Spark has approved it. The membership requirements to sell (gold or above) also apply site wide without exception. This forum (Fiddleback) is a hosted knifemaker forum and therefore Andy has fair amount of room to do his own thing. If Andy says it's okay to do auction-style sale, then it's okay. :) There have been auctions in other hosted knifemaker forums. If anyone ever has questions about the rules, feel free to contact myself or any of the other mods as we'd be happy to answer your questions. The Tech Support forum is also available for questions.

Thanks!

Jason

Thank you sir, very helpful!

Thanks for clarifying that Morrow. Carry on enjoying the forum guys. Please continue to keep it gentlemanly, as this group has always done.

None on this end brother. Do to my list of infractions and warnings, I tend to stay cautious.

I'm really happy the mod responded how he did and Andy is cool about it too. I feel like we are all adults and should have some freedoms to sell things how we would like. It's all in the name of fun. I respect BF rules and positions but sometimes find them overwhelming. I'm just a guy that likes to buy, sell, and use knives. That's my only MO.

@ Andy, sorry you got pulled away from what you were doing to respond. That's not what I was going for. I swear I'm not trying to be your problem child!!!

Did I just see Latin? Modus operandi?
