I just purchased one of them little spyder bug knives on ebay..
Does any body have one.. Maybe a pic?
Is it a usefull knife even though it is so tiny...
Really I was just going to throw it in the change pocket...
Whatever for 11.00 I dont expect much.. lol
Thanks
Matt

It's almost a two-finger knife for me. It is sharp, well-made and appears to be decent steel, which is somewhat unusual for a knife this size. Is it useful? Compared to no knife at all, yes it is.

Here it is with a Mini-Police and an old Ladybug for comparison.

With a Military thrown in.

I placed a knifecenter order for a Ladybug the other day, and tosses two "Bug" knives on their. $7 something each. The steel is decent, and I'll probably throw a lanyard on them and use them as gifts.

I was disappointed I couldn't open it with one hand, but other than that it functions well for me. Mine has been opening my mail lately.

I picked up half a dozen of them this past weekend from my local knife shop. I paid something in the area of $5 and change for each one. They're neat little trinkets. I kept a couple for myself and bought the others to give away.

The one's I have were all collector numbered but the store said they had something like 200 on order

Yab - that bug is so small it makes the Ladybug look like an Endura!:cool:

My order came today. I was surprised at how small the Ladybug was, and even more surprised to find the two little "Bug"s in another box.

The two I got were reasonably sharp out of the box, and sharpened up easily, though a bit awkwardly considering the small size. The lanyard hole is great for some 1.5MM accessory cord I had laying around.

Bugs are the little silver gems in the middle. Shown with a Ladybug (top) and D'Allara (bottom) for reference.

The only disappointment was the fact that you cannot open them with one hand.

The bugs are suppose to be fun trinkets! I picked up a few and will be giving them away to some friends that also love knives. They are functional but I never expect them to open one handed or even be a moderate duty user. I look at it as Spyderco's way of having things to give away at trade shows or the Spydie knuts, much like the hat pins they made.

I remember that Mini-Police...used to sell it in my store at one point. My co-worker didn't think it existed or was even made by Spyderco. Showed him... :p
