Just received a RAT-3 and a RC-3 today. These are my first RATs but not my last that's for sure. For anyone who is lurking here and trying to decide between getting a RAT-3 or the RC-3 I would say what I think is a huge factor. And that is the handle length. The RC-3 is approx 3/4 inch longer than the RAT-3 and it makes a world of difference. I am 6 foot tall but only have a medium size hand ... And I can hardly hold on to the RAT-3. It wants to pivot out of my hand when I try to do anything. I am not a big user of sliding my index finger onto the choil to get some extra handle space. I think it would help, but I don't like to go there unless I am doing some delicate work. Call me crazy. Quality of both knives are good but the RC-3 is the better knife and worth a few extra bucks. How you guys can hold on to the Izula, I have no idea. Also anxious to see the new HEST when it comes out and see if the pry bar will give even more support to gripping. Just my $.02, your mileage may vary.
