Actually my first Strider. Here are some obligatory pictures. No "what's up with the hair" jokes though!
This knife is a couple years old. Not used much. Only has signs of carry in the form of some lint and a couple nearly non-existent marks on the blade that blend right in with the stonewashed finish. The blade is centered, the action is smooth and the lockup is rock soild. I'm delighted with it. It's not small but I carry large knives frequently and with ease. This is easily my best trade to date considering how nice this SMF is and it's something I have never owned. I'm fairly certain I never would have paid for one but who knows! I chose to take the used or carried route like others have so I knew what I was getting in advance. The other BF brother and I spoke back and forth for weeks before we settled and made the transaction. This was a good thing because each of us got lots of time to feel good about the trade. Thanks, clockman
The picture of the lock up came out terrible though but I added it for the visual anyway. Here are the pictures:
P.S. I have to give the win to the ZT 0551 by a measurable margin over the other two knives for overall grip and handle comfort. That Rick Hinderer guy sure can design a fine knife. It almost seems effortless for him while the results are always excellent. The 0551 feels like part of my hand . . .
