Just received my first SMF in a trade. It's a nice knife . . .

"The blade is centered, the action is smooth and the lockup is rock soild."

What???? what about all that bad Strider fit and finish I hear tossed around.;)

Great score, I love the SMF and all mine have been nothing but perfect in every department. Oh, and the pivot hasn't changed on the SMF only on the little PT.

The only complaint about my SmF gunner grip is that it likes to eat pockets - but I can live with that.

I am very happy with my SmF.

There is a trick I learned about making the GG easier on the pocket. There is 6 dimples directly under the pocket clip end. I filled those 6 dimples with super glue gradually building them up taking the roughness from under the clip. Works like a charm and it is absolutely not visible because it is under the clip.

Thanks Mystro - I'll have to give that trick a try.

You couldn't design a better denim eater if you tried.

It's done very well. I'm actually surprised considering I was mostly on the anti-Strider bandwagon for the past few years including the stolen valor matter since I'm a VERY proud U.S. Navy veteran.

What changed? Are you still proud? The valor remains unrepentantly stolen.

Nothing changed - I didn't buy one, I traded for one that someone else paid for two years ago . . . It's the same notion as recycling paper from a tree that's already been cut down by someone else . . .
