Just ordered a 0550BLK!!! Damn Memorial Day means I'll have to wait an extra day:mad: Hope he doesn't mind having another part ways with him.

Can't wait!!!!!! It will be my 2nd ever ZT, sold my first one, didn't like it, it was a 0350TS. I'm sure I'll like this one though. :)

If anyone has one, post as many HQ HD pics as possible, some in-hand shots will make me go overboard and lose my mind waiting.

IT'S COMING TODAY!!!

Personally, the 0550/0551 are the best ZT folders. Very smooth manual action with a great blade and size. For me, the G10 scale on the 0550 is rough with the horizontal ridges. Not so with vertical ridges on the 0551.

Opening the knife requires the thumb to be placed at the six o'clock of the stud and pushed straight up and then clockwise. Once you get the hang of it it's silky smooth.

On my 0550BLK (also from KershawGuy) I put a Rick Henderer Carbon Fiber scale and not only does it make it look stunning but it feels better in my hands with a much smoother texture and slimmer profile.

i just got a 0550 from dave myself last week and its by far my favorite edc now!!!!! i am now saving money to get the 550blk u will love it......but i did get side track yesterday with dave taking preorders for all black JYD composites, had to order one for fathers day for myself lol

Ah, i just ordered a 0550blk along with a 0300 from Dave too...It's heading to my work addy so I won't see them until tuesday :(

Really looking forward to the 0550. I think it's one of the slickest looking knives in the ZT catalogue. I like my 560, but I'm not a fan of the flipper on it (thinking of grinding it off as mine works very nicely using the blade stops ).
I've been carrying the 560, but it's just long enough that when I sit down, it gets pushed up and out of my pocket... Makes quite the big clatter when it hits the floor...

break in for my 550blk was longer then most knives - i used the leave it open method, since it did not break in a few mins. i also move it back forth from just open and just closed positions.

once broken in the 6 oclock push is weird but, smooth too full open with little break in time. again, i did leave it cracked open too speed up the buttery smooth opening.

not sure if it safe queen or pocket queen? still too be determined since i have about 15 new, edc, knives, i got 10 in a trade. 4 are kershaw AO

I'm really liking the 550, myself! I ordered a Gen 1 from Kershaw Guy and a Gen 2 from BladeHQ in the past 2 days. The Gen 1 should be here on Tuesday, the Gen 2 on Wednesday. The 560 has become my favorite ZT and with all of the research I've done, I think the 550 may take its place. I'll share some family pics when I get them.

Now I'm looking very heavily into getting some custom scales... debating between krytoglow and Rival.

Good point! I'm really looking into tricking out my 560 first. I'm thinking about going with a full color theme. Like a black and green scale with green spacers and green lock bar button.... or blue... or orange... or...or...or....

I like so many designs, it's hard to choose!
