  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Just relieved kershawguy of a 0550.

The 0550 is a fantastic knife. I think it looks great with a wood scale. This one is Koa on a gen2.

Looks amazing but black blade and wood don't mix too well, it would be elegant and tactical looking at the same time, I prefer them to be separate. BTW, what wood is that? I love wood on knives.

Some sort of black wood would look sweet on a 550. Heres my 551 that I fell in love all over again with yesterday. I need lots of scales and a black bladed one now. Perfect knife in my opinion.

The wood is Koa, it is a relatively hard wood only found in Hawaii. As far as I know, it is illegal to cut down a Koa tree, you can only harvest the wood if it is falls on it's own.
