Just slip joints?

Exclusively slip joints for EDC.

Mainly because here in England, a fixed blade or locking knife (of any size) is illegal to carry in public, and even the slip joint should be 3" or less in blade length.

I cheat sometimes and carry a Bradshaw folding bowie or a Queen Mountain Man lockback if I know that I am going to have a use for it though :D

Cheers

I always carry a slip joint and more often than not that's the only knife I carry. Of course I have other knives and multi tools in my vehicle. Typically I carry a SAK Soldier, however for formal occasions I carry this one.

I EDC a Victorinox Settler....No tools, just large and small blades. I frequently carry a second SAK/tools as a companion piece. My CRK Mnandi sees very little pocket time (but I don't think I'll ever part with it :D ).

I grew up on slip joints and always seem to come back to them. I see no sense in fighting it anymore. ;)

Hey all its been awhile. Tim Herman here and I have recently startee making my Slivers in a slipjoint. Finally a Sliver that walks and talks:D I have also designed a Barlow wih a unique blade shape kind of a cross between a wharncliff and a
sheepsfoot but with a cool concave front edge. Will have to postpics when I get one done too had to describe. But the barlow's large bolsters are so engravable!

Almost always a slipjoint. The two exceptions are my Tom Overeynder lockbacks, which get occasional pocket time, and a medium Tom Mayo TNT with a talonite blade, which gets carried a lot in the summer, in, on, and around water. Even in saltwater.

I carry a slipjoint every day--usually a stockman. Now, some times I carry one of the Mooremaker trappers with the liner lock, so I guess I carry a slipjoint and a lockback at the same time. LOL

I carry both lockers and slipjoints, but ALL old traditional style knives. I don't own a single knife of the "modern'' persuasion. One of my very favorites is a Queen #41L, a bone handled single bladed 3-3/4" copperhead pattern with a linerlock.

I have always loved slipjoint, and lately it's gotten worse.
I now always carry at least 2: a SAK and a custom multiblade.
The difficulties are in the decisions.

Cpirtle--good luck with the surgery.

I generally carry both a slipjoint and a one hand opening, locking knife. I hate the term "tactical" because I've STILL never been in a knife fight. The lockblade is strictly for practicality.

However, when I only carry one, its a slipjoint. Generally a Case CV or Moore Maker stockman.

Lately,I've been drooling over P.J. Tomes slipjionts,if I had one I'd ocasionally carry it. But practically,I like a clip, most of my slips are for collection. When I was younger,I used to carry a Buck Cadet, religiously.
