Just Some Fun Stuff with Leather and Such

Horsewright, thank you so much for your posts. It's awesome seeing all those things and actually knowing who made them.
As for trading, I like that as well. I think it is also often a win win situation. And often when you trade something for "under value" in such a community it gets repaid twice and more over time.
Oh, and Anthony I doubt she will buy into that. As I said, remember the pelican.

That's really pretty stuff right there, enjoyed this post too, thanks also !

I agree with you! Around here if you aren't giving you're receiving. I doubt many folks hang around for long without gaining something, whether it be a tool, a friend, some good information or whatever.

My wife is pretty forgiving and understanding. If I touch the nurses butt she'd probably just try to snap another picture. We've been married for over 20 years, jealousy isn't as big a deal as when we were teenagers. :)

just beautiful craftsmanship all around. Those flower carvings are beautiful, and if she said she was rusty I wanna see what's in store after the rust has been shaken!

You guys are welcome and thanks zuluninja. Here not so rusty, she did this belt after the chink yokes. This is the customer wearing it here in the pic. He liked it enough to order two more.

those belts are absolutely mind blowing. i'm not into floral motives, but just the details and how things come together.... thank you.

My head gently shook from side to side for 5 minutes after this post. Youall are living a dream for sure. While I'm not a horse person, I envy you and your lifestyle. Put me out there with you and it'd be like the movie, City Slickers.

Here ya go Kootaga13 and any City Slickers fan:

"Curly says there's nothing like bringing in the herd". This shot was from spring of 2006 at Jack Palance's (Curly in City Slickers) ranch here in Tehachapi. There was a group of us that would go and work his cattle for him. He passed away later that year. I'm the third rider from the right.

Nichole looking for another one of Jack's calves that needs branding. She's wearing a very early prototype pair of charmitas. I've modified the pattern for this legging quite a bit over the years.

Jack Palance's ranch!? awesome!! another one here with a heavy dose of good-kinded envy, keep those shots, coming!

Gah... I'm having the same reaction to the belt. Dave, I love your work brother, but you have some stiff competition right on your heels.

I'm guessing it goes-

Transfer/case

Swivel knife cuts

Stamps

If that's correct, what comes next? Do you guys just oil those too?

Yep Strig thats pretty much it. Warm oil, coat of RST and then a light wash of very diluted Highliter. Light coat of Bag Kote over the top.
