Just some thought from Ernest Emerson

Love my ETAK A SF low serial #0005 with green thumb disc. QC excellent, great fit and finish too.

For every complaint you get Mr Emerson, you have tons of satisfied folks. Emerson Rep does an outstanding job making himself available for questions and promoting your ideals and knives.

CQC-7, CQC-15 or a Commander. If you want to go huge, maybe a CQC-8.

I was thinking CQC-8. I carry a Mille about 90% of the time so size wise that seems similar. Like the weight for a big slicer :)
Thanks for the recommendations!

One of the major problems with Internet forums, or discussion groups are trolls. If the forum or discussion group is unmoderated trolling gets worst. If it is moderated and troll post are removed or edited the trools complain about putting a muzzle on their free speech.

Over moderating has problems, under moderating has problems. The one way for sure to stop a lot of the problem would be no handles, nicknames, or made up identifies. Everyone had to post under real name and no blind e-mails to register.

Than the problem would be boring forum content, the forum operator would loose money, as their daily visitor, daily post count would fall, thus less advertisers would want to advertise, and rates for banner ads would drop.

Mr. Emerson has to deal with trolls who want to just for fun trash his product, and then disappear after the trash is dumped. They in many cases have nothing better to do then try and disrupt forums, and Internet discussion groups.

I would think most REAL customer who have a problem, would pickup the telephone, or send an e-mail seeking resolution of a problem. Before taking a simple problem to an Internet forum like a pail of trash to dump on some poor business owner.

It often crosses my mind to buy no other brand but Emerson if only because you can still get a human on the line when you call. I think this may be more important to some than many realize.

Mr. Emerson must be well aware of that as he hasn't let some phone company geek talk him into "automation" of his phone system. :barf: Bleechh! :barf: 'Scu me....

Exactly, both Emerson & Medford answer the phone every single time you call (with an actual human answering LOL)

Those two companies have the best CS in the business.

I've been a happy Emerson customer going on four years now. My seventh one (a Super SOCFK) is on its way as I type this.

Emerson knives are the only knife brand I own that seem like they are "more" than simply a knife, a tool to cut things that need cut, trimmed, opened, etc.

I have been fortunate to own a fair number of mid-tech knives like CRKs (fine knives also) but NO OTHER knife brand makes me feel as secure or able as I feel when I am carrying one of my Emersons. Which is 95% of the time.

Ernest, you are a class act and every time one of these guys comes on here ranting about poor fit & finish I just try to ignore them but more often than not several of us confront that person. Because it simply is not true.

Your knives have been stellar, and the stonewash you put out cannot be equaled in my book. By anyone else.

Thank you for keeping your values, Ann and Ernesto are great CS representatives, and many of us will continue to be customers for life. You have certainly earned my respect, and I sure am happy you are in business.
