I've finially decided that I'm going to seriously work towards learning to make knives. I've been interested in knifemaking for a long time, but other activities had been keeping me busy. Not any more.
Fortunately, I already have a decent size shop and the majority of tools that I will need except for a grinder. (I'm still doing research, but the Coote looks nice.) The grinder may be a while off, as I'm still organizing and updating my shop.
While I'm somewhat familiar with the basic process of making a knife, I think that I might be better served with visual instruction. I'm considering purchasing the Wally Hayes "Home Work Shop Knifemaking" DVDs. Has anyone seen these DVDs, and can comment on their quality?
Thanks!
