Just Thought I'd Share This BK4 Vid

so i though i would share this with you guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0yRidNsT6U
not the best i've done as a vid but i did worked with them all and i stay behind what i said in the vid :)
i love my machax even if it isnt all that much better then bk9 lol so everybody should have one if you ask me :)
and gotta add that brute has way too steep grind for a good knife. it actually feels even thicker (grind) then bk2
so little disappointed with that one... Hope you like the vid.
cheers

Cool vid, was a bit shocked by the brutes performance though...Hopefully they'll reintroduce the 1 and 6 soon. btw, is the persian N690?

sorry you didn't dig the Brute like you thought you would man....are you going to sell it?

Dont worry about it man. I am happy that i got it. I think i'll keep it and maybe just regrind it a bit. Its a awesome blade and i think with little thinner grind it will be awesome performer... Do you know what steel was it? Was that one of the carbon V?

How have I missed this thread for so long?

@Erd: Thanks for posting this! I'm not a big youtube fan usually, and would've never found this on my own.

@gavko: Good stuff! thanks for humoring us with the followup and a good attitude! I find your evaluation to be honest and insightful. Especially in the second vid, I found it nice that you took the time to explore the tradeoffs in the designs, and demonstrate each blade in a variety of tasks along with your own design for a frame of reference.

I'm working toward a Machax review myself and found this very helpful and thought feeding.

To anyone on the fence about a Machax: I say to give it a try. There is so much utility jammed into the design that you almost can't go wrong. It probably isn't "the best" at a lot of things, but it is constantly surprising me at what it can do with a little thought.

Thank you. Im with you on the machax. Very versatile knife. One thinng that i forgot to mention but people could see it in the vid, once i hit that hard knot while battoning, the shock on the handle was really unbearable for some reason. But i still love machax more then brute and bk9

I really enjoyed reading through this thread, and learned a lot too.

gavkoo, thank you for posting those videos. I was excited to see the BK4 video, and it was very good. The comparison video of the four knives was great too (been wanting to see something like that for a while). Thank you for taking your time to share those demonstrations.

Your the man gavko !!!! This review was exactly what I was lookin for. I was actually pretty suprised about the Brute too, but I agree with a thinner grind you might get more of bite. Thanks again man, looked like a pretty brutal workout, but the black tank top was a good call over the last jk Keep it up man, I enjoy having someone around who does honest comparison vids. Looking forward to the next
