An Active Duty with a 4 in. blade.

Call it the "Extremely Active Duty" or some such, to recognize the longer blade.

I love the AD's blade geometry and the handle...just wish it was longer!

Sounds like a great knife to me.

I often carry a Northwoods Willow Leaf, and the 4" drop point blade is almost perfect for EDC.

In that pic the AD doesn't look a full inch bigger,
but it's supposed to be.
again, they look similar to me, but the LM looks a little bigger,
so am I missing something?

Yeh, maybe Proporker can measure them and see what the diff is between the AD and LrMr.

Great! More homework! Thanks Mike. :D
I'll try to measure them up sometime. :)

You know you're just lookin for an excuse to 1) play with the knives 2) measure something (else) with a ruler  :p

I'm thinkin the regular AD, as pictured below from the Company Store

Just add a bit to the length of the blade. Still would like a full choil, the same blade geometry, just a *touch* longer.

The "Extreme Active Duty" or the "Active Duty Lifer" or something along those lines - Stay with the "Active Duty" name (kinda partial to it for a reason or two ;) ), just something added to the name to represent the longer blade.

I think the profile of the AD would make for a great field knife for the lighter/finer works, just add a *touch* of length to the blade.

Just my drool soaked thoughts, as I don't own any Busse's (yet LOL).

I would be very hard pressed to believe that you wouldn't be happy with a leaner meaner.
AVAILABLE NOW!!!

I love my AD's, all three of em'. My dream AD would have a much smaller choil though, which would give another 1/4 in of blade without having to extend it. I would have gotten a couple of the mean streets, but I'm not really into clip points, as I prefer the drop point. ;)

That's a great idea Phil! How about calling it the Extended Duty?

Heh, or the AD/SL "Active Duty/Stop Loss" :D

I'm just tossing my idea and some names out there. IF it were made, it'd be up to Mr. B. to name it (or whoever does that sorta thing).
