I don't mean to be an old cranky guy here, but I guess I am! I'm one of the original members of this forum, (no big deal), but I've noticed a trend that I don't care for. That is, (and I have sold, dozens and dozens of knives since these forums began), I wouldn't THINK of sending a knife to a buyer without AT LEAST wiping it down, (inside and out), and I ALWAYS give all the knives I send out, a hand polish. Since 1998, I have only received ONE minor complaint about sending out a knife, where the buyer stated; "It had some lint in it but I LIKE it a lot!". I knew better because I had POLISHED the knife, inside and out, before I sent it.
I am constantly amazed at how some knives are sent to me! Fingerprints everywhere and dust caked inside like you wouldn't believe! I know we knife lovers sell and trade things before we have a chance to REALLY check them out but a wiping off, (or a polishing), AIN'T THAT HARD! Thanks for listening.
