I am new to the Forum, but have really enjoyed reading all the great posts here on the Wilderness & Survival Skills page. A lot of good information here and of course some really cool pictures of some really nice knives.

Anyway, just thought I'd show you a picture of my knife I got a few months ago from Doug at DP Knives, and want to say "thanks Doug!" for making me a real beauty. It is kind of a modified Hunters Companion with a clip point, 3/16" blade, 1095 steel, blade 4 3/8", handle is cocobolo and the sheath is a JRE. It really has taken a wickedly sharp edge.

Keep postin' that knife porn!

Welcome, there are some fine folks here, not sure about the mods, but the rest of the guys and gals are cool.;)

Nice knife, I haven't seen Doug make a knife like that. Cool:thumbup:

Nice tool! Welcome, and try to keep a positive balance in your checkbook. It's not easy around here.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. My wife has said one knife per year... I blew that one already.

Being an expert in marriage (married twice, I think I`ve got it down now ), the easiest solution is to buy all of your knives with cocobolo handles, that way they all will look the same to her. I think you may have already figured that one out. ;)

That's a good idea John... I looking forward to getting that Kephart from you in cocobolo.
