Just wanted to say thanks

As I just said in another thread, the thanks goes to you guys, both the customers and the very excellent group of dealers (such as yourself) that we have. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

See Jeff, now I'm blushing. Oh Golly.:D

And as a side note, there are a couple of people that sort of go unrecognized but are probably more important than Mike, Shon and I when it comes to all of this. One is Shon's wife Becky. She is amazing when it comes to getting everything shipped and keeping up with stuff. The other is Patricia. She runs the office for us at RAT Cutlery and there is no way any of you would get your orders if it wasn't for her and Becky. I know they get tired of me asking them questions they have already answered no less than 3 times that I keep forgetting they answered.

I guess what really impresses me about this who RAT Experience is the integrity of the folks that surrounds it. Not just Shon, Becky, Mike and Patricia but also the customers and dealers. Every once in a while we will screw up on an order. Some times it is in the customer's favor. Without fail the dealer or customer will call and say "you didn't charge me enough or you shipped too much."

The knives themselves don't mean that much in the bigger picture. What does mean everything is the fact that you can operate a USA made business, compete in the market place and have the absolute best family of customer and dealers that anyone could ask for. It just goes to prove that even though this country may be going in the toilet in many ways, the spirit of American Individualism and Integrity is still strong in all of us. And even if you never buy a RAT product, we sincerely thank you for having that spirit!

Jeff

It has been said that the key to succeed in business (and life in general), is to surround yourself with great people.

Glad to hear it's working for you :)

To everyone involved...Keep up the great work. It is both noticed and appreciated.:thumbup:

It makes it really easy to support a company when you guys keep up the unparalleled service and passion for the knives you make, and just a damned fine product on top of it.

I pass the word to all that I can, and cannot recommend your knives highly enough.

Thank you.

If anyone asks me what brand I'm most proud to own (and it happens quite frequently) I always say RAT without hesitation.

Over the past two weeks or so I've gotten three RAT knives, and a big part of deciding on RAT was the "small AMERICAN business" aspect. That, and the type of values I read about here and elsewhere pretty much jive with my values.

Sounds goofy when talking about knives and people you never met, but it made all the difference when I was researching blades.

I'll second that! Not only do ya'll put out great knives(made in the USA!!) but one of the main things that keeps me coming back to RC is the time and effort ya'll put in here on BF keeping us informed, answering questions, and just BS'ing with us. It's rare these days to actually know the people behind any product you purchase. Keep doing what you do!!

Hi All

I don't post much but I agree with everything voiced here. I will purchase my Cutlery from Rat Cultery from now on. Got an Izula a couple of weeks ago so I'm already on the path.

An American company with values!

Dan

Whats not to like, a group of stand up guys that stand behind their product. Uninflated prices, excellent customer service, and you involvement in the cutleryy community speaks volumes to RAT's character. Good character goes a long way in todays world. Keep up the great work!

Well Jeff you've managed to create a great product, you treat your customers with respect. What you and Mike, Shon, Patrica, and Becky have created is truly something special, especially in todays business environment, where the rule with a lot of companies seems to be "take the knife, shove your money under the door, and go away". To me it has always been clear, the RAT Cult here is about the people, not just the product. It isnt said enough, but we appricate all that you guys do for us.

There are days when I wish I had dozens of your business cards, to hand out to friends and folks when they ask me what knife to buy. I only point them in one direction.... these days I own a couple of RC blades, and I love them, and I am will to stack them up against any knife made, it really has very little to do with why time and time again I recommend RC over anyone else on the market. The people behind the RC symbol, thats why I send them to your page, every time.

I've nothing substantive to add to this discussion.

I just felt I should 'chime in' and thank you folks for making excellent knives ... and for treating your customers like friends. It's unusual, it's noticed, and it's very much appreciated.

What more could anyone ask of a company? Super product, Incredible customer service, Impeccable ethics and made in the US with American labor? This is a company that I enjoy supporting. Thank YOU!

I've said it a bunch of times before but I will say it again. A product is only as good as the people who stand behind it. Everyone at RAT and Rowen Mfg. has shown that there are still people who have a strong work and business ethic. I think that has a lot to do with the amount of people who have shown an interest and bought your products. That and the way those here are a very close knit group of people who are really willing to help out others when needed. I think it is we you should be thanking Jeff, Mike, Shon, and all you are involved in making such a great product. And also to the superb dealers for carrying RAT Cutlery products, who also get a big nod for putting up with the "Are they shipping yet?" as much as Jeff does :p:p:thumbup::thumbup:

Yea, what he said

I think we should be thanking you for all of the great products, without you there would be no us.

Having had occassion to deal with Patricia and Becky I have to say they are both wonderful!
