Thanks to everyone on this forum including Phil Wilson, and Brad at peters for answering all of my aggravating questions personally over the last couple of months. I finally have my first 3 knives ready for heat treat and couldn't have done it without all of the great insight here on this forum. This is the first forum I've ever joined. Hope everyone is having a great weekend
Cheers,
Chad

I know it's not really a beginner steel but I like tha fake it till ya make it method

Thanks buddy. I've always wanted a custom knife but could never afford one. So I went and bought a 1x30 and a dremel. Now I'm hooked. I can see why the community is as big as it is. Which blade style do you like better out f those 2 btw

Same here man except I got a 2x42 now I'm working on building a 2x72. I really like that middle one.

I hope it is okay for me to chime in on which I like here. I like the spine of the one on the right, it looks like it would fit nicely if I wanted to push with my thumb. The middle spine looks like it would dig in. But I like the profile of the cutting edge on the middle one. I like the look of the plunge and where it is better.

Let me know how that goes. What kind of 2x42 do you have? That's probably going to be my next step. Unless I can build a 2x72 under 400$

Yeah I completely agree with randy on this I'm PERSONALLY not a fan of the finger grooves. Especially since this is more of a combat/SD knife being able to grab it quick and comfortable is very essential

No problem man keep up the good work. If you need someone to test one of those I'd be more than happy too ;)

Gotcha. My first designs didn't have them. I figured I would see how it goes with the scales on and if it turns out that there uncomfortable then I can grind em flat. I tried to make them the same width both ways so that it feels the same in multiple grips.

I will keep that in mind. Just ordered 4 bars of 10v so there's definitely going to be some testing coming up.

Man goin big with the 10V lol. I plan on doing the same when I get my AEBL and just have guys test em for me so I know what to change/keep
