Both the same, the only differences being state of finish, and different fittings.
CS Katana have been known in the past to be "redneck tough". They're nearly indestructable, but they're built with the average person in mind, who isn't necessarily going to use a sword properly(ie: have a tendency to cut things that swords are not meant to cut...). I've owned a CS O-Katana, and I loved it for what it was. It was a little heavy for it's length, but could cut pretty much anything you threw at it(I used it to cleave through 3 inch diameter sapplings with ease). Also makes a for a great mod project, and I wish I got around to finishing it instead of trading it off.
For the backyard cutter with no training or plans to do so, they're great. They are not balanced for a practitioner, though.
