Justin Gingrich (GTI) "Delta Lock" Folder

Hoback is working on an updated linerlock as well which features more contact surface. I can’t remember what its called but basically a U shaped tab on the end of the lockbar fits into a U shaped cutout on the back of the blade. That U shape cuout progressively gets tighter as the tab goes deeper into it supposedly providing a surface of contact around the perimiter of the U.
Saw that too. His "270 Lock."

SpySmasher SpySmasher thanks for sharing this. Unless I am mistaken this Gingritch lock contacts at the spineside of the blade as well as on the edge side potentially meaning no stop pin. .
I see. That makes some sense.

Handled the folder at BLADE and it was a pretty cool knife. Overbuilt gutshovel would be an apt description. If I was still in the Army a folder like this might be useful to me. Justin is good people and makes helluv stout knives. I bought a tomahawk off of him back when he still had hair and before he sold to Ontario.

$225 for a knife with a budget steel roughly equal to AUS-8? No. That's a terrible deal. BD1 performs lower than 440C.

Not a dude any sane person would mess with, for sure. :D When I had him make me my custom RD-9 before he sold Ranger to Ontario, I called him and we talked for a short time and went over what I wanted, and I agree, a very cool and nice guy.

Exact same experience (at the same time) with me. We will have to get our knives together for a play date.

Silent H if you look at 1:04 on the vid up top you will see that the Glass breaker protrudes in the closed position a fare amount.

Not impressed.

The lock is nothing but a want to be Dozier Tab lock.

Poor execution and not only is the handle ugly. Less than average ergos just by looking at it.

Sure. I enjoyed the BD1 on my $70 Manix II. But not on this thing.

:poop:
