Hello fellow BF Chopaholics,I've got knives inbound & need to make room in the old craftsman tool chest.
I hope you love choppers as much as I do.
First is a Justin King spike hawk made of 1/4" 5160.
The spike is not sharpened, but the edge sure is.(I can sharpen the spike if you want no prob.)
I've thrown it a bit & chopped a couple of small logs/branches.
I cut the hanging lanyard off because it would snag my hand while throwing.
The edge is 3 3/4",the head is 4 3/8" from edge to tip of spike & the spike is 1 7/8" long.
OAL is 15 1/2" with a handle length of 5 1/4".Epoxy soaked black paracord wrap.
Sorry I don't have the weight, but it is light despite being an inch or so longer than the usual length Justin makes these hawks.
The edge cover is by Justin.
Asking $85.00 shipped.SOLD
Next is one sweet chopper hand forged by Andrew Takach.(Atakach on BF)
This was my first commissioned custom & it out chopped my B11 so I sold the B11!
It is just shy of a quarter inch thick 5160 with a 10" blade to the scales.3/4 ground with forge marks on the flats & rounded spine.
1 15/16" high at the tip & 1 7/16" at the plunge.
The handle is brown burlap micarta made by Andrew of squares of burlap all mixed up & pressed to cure with orange liners & tapered tang.It is 5 1/2" long.
The sheath & d guard are by me.
Asking $375.00 for this bad ass chopper shipped to your door.SOLD
