JYD 1725CB question

Been thinking about getting a junkyard dog composite but I am confused about a few things. What's the difference between the 2 and 2.2? When I google images both the 2 and 2.2 are shown with composite blades. Looks like there may be a difference where the metals are joined, or am I going blind? In the pics one looks jagged and the other looks roundish(like this one better). Looks like people are using either pic for the 2 and 2.2 hence the confusion. Any input appreciated.

Just the difference in pattern from what I remember. I think the rounded is the first generation, and the circular saw looking one is the second gen. Pretty sure that was the only difference but I could be wrong.

From what I was told before I bought my 2nd gen.. the 1st incarnation had the jigsaw puzzle pattern.. and the 2nd was the sharktooth one.

Circular saw=awesome description. Guess I'm looking for the round one then, like the pattern in the rake. Thanks.

I had a jigsaw JYDCB and now the tooth patterned one, they're both CPM-D2 for the edge.

Now to try to find a jigsaw one. I was on the auction site and found a few, but most of those people don't even see the products they are selling. It would be a tossup as to which one I would get there regardless of pic or description.
Thanks for all the help guys.

And a skyline and a few blems. I should just have half my paycheck go directly into his account.

Yeah I've had that feeling before! Hes a great guy and will hook you up right! Got a package on the way from him as we speak!

I have the Kershaw Junkyard Dog 2.2 1725CB with UPC Code 087171172538. This one has the shark tooth pattern for the composite blade.

The previous Kershaw Junkyard Dog II 1725CB has the circular pattern for the composite blade. Do you know what it says on the box label for the description & UPC Code and where i might find one? I like the pattern on the older one better.

I have the newer pattern and the steel variety isnt marked. I thought its was mentioned in a thread here Kershaw was switching from CPM to plain old D2. If it is CPM, cool. If not, no biggie, i still dig it. Would like to know whats up with the model number, 1735CBB. Is the second B a typo, the reason its a blem?

I have two of the new JYD 2.2 1725CB folders and both say CPMD2 for the blade edge.

I have a JYD II 1725CB coming in next week and will advise on what it says on the box and blade.

My Kershaw Rake 1780CB says D2 for the blade edge.

My Kershaw Leak 1660CB says CPM-D2 for the blade edge.

Hope this helps. Just noticed it's not marked on the blade what steel it is.

Good info. Thanks.

Interesting how the UPC Code is identical in both the JYD II & 2.2.

Also, how on the II it doesn't say 1725CB on the blade but does so on the box. Nor does it say the steel type on the blade edge.
