"wellerum norm the gigametal fulxers are the main reason that knife carla is cutting the lemon with stays sharp, they are like little monkey's who hold the edge at a degree that causes the inert force to compound the dullness"

the funny part is my buddy has a desert cruiser and a Lake PAL that we also video'd at the same time, with LAWKS disengaged. They held up fine, but the Desert Cruiser sits in the middle of the tang.

I think I'll just mess with it some more, for the price of the knife there's no need to send it in, imo. I bought it to tinker with it, and I have other knives so I'm not out any functionality. I'm less inclined to trust ss framelocks now, I gave up on liner locks already. I'm disappointed, but not entirely surprised. Sure, Walker & Reeve can create & do these locks well, but I think they are not the best choice for productions, too finicky compared to the alternatives.

Frame locks are no different than liner locks in that respect, that has been known for just as long. The promotion of them in that regard has always been just hype. They have some advantages like you can stabilize them in heavy grips, but in regards to torques, impacts, etc., they are just as prone to problems as liners which should be obvious as the lock mechanics are exactly the same. There is no reason to actually distinguish among them in that regard. There are lots of liner locks which are even thicker than many frame locks but of course that is just hype as well as the thickness was never an issue. This is just more smoke and mirrors and easy to sell to the public. Talmadge demonstrated that long ago, before these forums started.

w00t, got it. Used a pen style Eze-lap diamond sharpener and took a little off the lock and tang. Lock engages around 70%, but holds under snappy and hard spinewhacks. Anyone know what size the screws through the backspacer are, I rounded out the head of one a little.

hardheart, glad to hear it. Call CS tomorrow, and they can send you a new screw.
