JYD type 1?

I bought the JYDII CB a month ago, and just bought the JYDI for more discreet carry. I really like it (even though it bit me yesterday). It's a small thing, and I have large hands. However, it cuts like a much bigger blade. Lock-up is very solid; fit and finish (typically) outstanding.

Excellent. Now am I correct in that the smaller JYD does NOT have speedsafe deployment? It has the flipper tab, but no springs, etc?

there is no assisted-open mechanism... it's just a flipper. When adjusted right and worn in nicely, it's oh-so-smooth.
 
I love everything about it, but the clip. I wish it had one like the Camillus Cuda EDC the knives are the same size. The Edc is a little lighter weight and has 154cm. I also wish Kershaw would offer a higher end blade, maybe S110v. :D
 
The JYD 1 is on my short list. But with Christmas coming up, my money is going to the fam until the first of the year. It just seems to be such a practical little knife. I really like the Air Force markings as well.
