Like a light saber through melted butter.

Bald forearms and calves are a bit challenging to explain...

Glad you got it. Let me know what you think. I really like the difference
in weight distribution when it's opened.
The lightness of the handle with the heft of the blade forward. Just feels right.
That D2 is sharp. My bro's CB Leek has been in his pocket from day one
and I've sharpened and touched it up maybe a half dozen times. (he cuts with it all day).

well she as shaved some spots on my arm, cut some paper, and been flipped open a number of times. so far i am really really liking the knife. Havnt had a chance to actually use it other than to amuse me in cutting paper into tiny tiny ribbons.

i agree mike, soooo light for a large knife, looks great with the patern on the blade, flips beautifully. cant complain :D

That is one sweet knife Jeremy!

BTW, wasn't there another pic? Something personal from Tim to you? :D:p

And I still think I've seen the glass top table pics before...what say you ol?

yes i used that table before. its in the backyard at my house. duh. why wouldnt i use it?

as for the "she", i doubt that Ash would let me take a pic of her holding the JYD2CB and posting it here. Facebook sure, but not here lol.

a non-JYD2 update, i got my ZDP Leek back from Ash. It is doin A-OK, and was used to cut chocolate bars...so who knows where thats hiding on it...but the edge is still good, could use some touch-up and there is no rust that i can see on the blade. So my lil protege did good :D

btw Jeremy, niiice pics of your FrankenJYD2. i agree with Brad, wasnt there a special mod to it from tim? :p

OK, so i think i can give it a review at this point in time.

F&F: I say this alot, but it's true, typical Kershaw. the g-10 has great grip, nice and even through out. the back spacer is a touch high, but nothing major. if thats a problem, then well sorry folks. anyway, i can prolly adjust it. the grinds are perfect, both primary and edge. no blems on the blade at all.

Edge: uh, OK, let me see if i can find a word here. OK here is one. SHARP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!! lol. That CPM-D2 has a pretty darn good edge on it, and I must say it has gone through a fair amount of paper *as we all know, one of a knife's worst nightmares* without losing the ability to shave VERY easily. gonna cut pretty darn well i would say, as i find more and more things to use it on.

Flipper: what can i say? its a JYD2. it flips VERY well. no wrist at all.

Egros: see above statement. its a JYD2. the egros are great as usual

OVERALL: i give it a 10/10 :D if you dont got it, GET it :D

I got one of these at the knife show at Mt. Vernon today. I was looking at getting the regular JYD II but I really wanted a composite blade. My wife said go ahead and get the one you really want so I have to thank my wife! She's great. Anyway it is a really nice knife (as all Kershaws are) and I'm really proud of it. It locks up great, flips open like its on oiled bearings and has a super grippy handle plus I really love the composite blade. I just can't decide if I should use it or just admire it.

Use it, JTC, that is what it was designed for.

When I got my SG2 JYD II, I figured it for a safe queen until I actually used it. Now it is my favorite knife!
