Jyd2 Cb!!!!

an update:

this knife holds its edge quite well :D still flips nice and smooth and works quite well around the sheeple (i.e. my friends who dont understand the bald spots on the arm). great knife for the money so if you are still doubting, go and get it. original JYD2, but on roids.

another update sense i mentioned it. i cleaned my ZDP leek a lil while back. remember how i said "who knows where that chocolate is hiding"? well...i found out...

the list of places: the screws, the pivot, the spacers, the lil nooks for the thumb studs, and, get this, THE FREAKIN TORSION BAR WELL!!! how it got to that last one i will never know. What i KNOW i will never know is how the knife still worked perfectly smooth...maybe chocolate is a good lubricant for knives? i dunno

I have one of these coming next week. I look forward to its arrival with this review.

Welcome to the Kershaw forum, MrFoo!

Please feel free to let us know your impressions of your new knife. I think you will be very impressed. :)

I think "she" is the JYD2. I guess it's a female Junkyard Dog?

That is a real nice knife, how did you get that custom Giants handle?

I got one of these at the knife show at Mt. Vernon today. I was looking at getting the regular JYD II but I really wanted a composite blade. My wife said go ahead and get the one you really want so I have to thank my wife! She's great. Anyway it is a really nice knife (as all Kershaws are) and I'm really proud of it. It locks up great, flips open like its on oiled bearings and has a super grippy handle plus I really love the composite blade. I just can't decide if I should use it or just admire it.

Definitely use it...just get another as a backup to admire...:D

Enjoy,

Ray :)

Ok. So I just got mine. I am really pleased with it. The first thing I did was play with the flipper then disassemble the knife and put it back together and adjust the pivot. It is extremely smooth for no wearing on the washers yet. I posted a pic of my current kershaw collection and this now takes the place of the Groove as my favorite. Though I still with carry the Groove too. I usually carry two or 3 knives. The little CRKT Rollock is for opening letter and small stuff. These are for bigger things. I will have to see how long the factory edge holds, then see how the Lansky system I have does on it.
