This time it is not PhotoShop modification. I got second JYDII, which is so under-priced that I can afford this kind of project and modified it to have straight edge as Need Works has.

It did not take too much time. Then I form the edge - it is kind of flat edge with high angle, but I curve edge shoulders so it is a bit of convex, in this terms. Otherwise it turns to be too thick to my taste.

It turns out excellent! I also proceed with my "usual" modification for this knife - made choil, add nail-opener and hole for lanyard. Here it is with my first JYDII:

Thanks, Vassili.

Great work Vassili. Thanks for the photos. I'm thinking of getting a second JYDII myself. It might be the best bang for the buck out there!

I hope they will do slight modification - lanyard hole and thumb stud will be very nice to have. I also suggested before in my initial JYDII thread that idea to have such fit clip is great - I do not handle more comfortable clip ever before, I wish they only provide four fit-clips for each possible position, at least tip down which I use for my back pocket knives.

My biggest hope however is that Kershaw start whole bunch of different models based on JYDII - I wish to have as many variations as Chive and Leek has. Especially orange G10 handle, Titanium handle, ZDP-189 blade etc. It will be also good to have JYDIII - Outcast size fixed blade with this handle and blade.

Tim made perfect handle and this is pure his own design - I do not see any Ken influence. Ken's lines are all kind of convex, but Tim's lines on JYDII handle are kind of concave and surprisingly it is perfectly comfortable!

This handle must be copied on different models, so I did simple modification and you may see it is succesfull (IMHO at least). This shape does not look unnatural and plays well with handle. I am thinking to try some clip kabar-like blade, or randal M1 blade with false edge...

Thanks, Vassili.
