K-5 Tactical Does Not Keep Promises!!!

Oct28/05 I paid for 2 spike hawks. Was told several week delivery. Have enquired many times.

Each time a new ETA is promised, always soon.
Last time I was sent USPS electronic notification of shipping label. 20+ days ago!

NO DELIVERY! Has quit responding to emails.
I am used to knifemaker time but detest being lied to!

If I had been told up front 6+mo. that would have been OK, but not this deception.
 
Oh boy... I got one on order to. He told me 4 weeks. But the good news is I wasn't charged on my CC like some companies will do.

Eddie said he would charge only when ready to ship...

Has he charged you?

Not much to add other than i dont know K-5, But have only read good about the product in general, I do know Mr. Campbell well, and He is a man of his word, above and beyond, NONE better PERIOD:thumbup: seriously , with that said, dissapointing to say the least, for I was looking at them as well. interesting.

I just talked to Eddie on the phone, asking him to look and respond here.

He is unable to get to a computer, he's in the hosptital with a family member, has been for days and days, and will be for more days. He said cmcampbell's hawks are already actually in the mail and she should get them soon. He apologizes for delays, and will chime in here as soon as possible.
 
I wonder if they have been in the Mail for 20 days? If so, they may be lost.

The real questions (ones that we see time and again here in GB&U) are;

- Why was the Customer charged at time of Order?
- Why was the Customer "told" the Hawks were ready and being Shipped.... several times.
- Why the poor communication and then later No Communication? The Cust should have been updated if there was a problem, and given the chance to cancel the Order and receive a Full Refund..?

Unkept promises, lack of comm, excuses,....:jerkit: these are the things that bring frustrated customers here!

Way too many good vendors out there folks...

As Jhillas mentioned, I have been away from the computer for DAYS. I am truly sorry for not getting back with you. My father stabilized last night so I drove home last night, and am heading back after this update.

Your hawks are on thier way. You were kept in the loop about the production issues I had with a machinist who tried to switch steels to save cost. That caused a 5 month delay that I have tried to keep everyone up to date about. Your hawks along with some others did not make it through the local post office before they came loose in their boxes and were returned(over a week later) I then had them re-coated and shipped them out.

I do not charge customers credit cards until the day before I ship. Paypal, I have no control over. I always answered your email promptly, until this recent emergency.

Please forgive the delay in comms. You were emailed your tracking # on 3/5 It is still valid.( I was able to reprint and use the existing shipping)

I am presently on time for the scheduled/quoted delivery dates of hawks to all outstanding orders. I do my best to keep my customers happy and notified. It is unfortunate that CM is not. My phone # is easy to find, I will be and have been, more than happy to talk to anyone on the phone.(considering I spent a lot of time in the shop or car, away from the computer)
 
Thank you. He is Very much better. He was up and walked for the first time since we checked him in. He went in for a heart valve repair or replacement. It turned out to be a repair, and a bypass. Pretty serious, but then he has had a lot of complications and had been touch and go and has now been given a pacemaker, and his chest drainage stuff was removed tonight. Kaiser and the doctors and staff have been awesome.

I am an only child, and our extended family is distant(and not just by miles) so it has been very important that I be there constantly, for him and Mom.

I often feel that I am closer with my customers than my family. I know many of you have been praying for us, and it is VERY comforting. And believe me...your prayers have helped.
 
The 2 hawks came in each shipped seperately about 1 week apart. 2nd one earlier this week.
They look to be very solid well designed pieces.
I have not had the opportunity to test or use them.
 
luckely everything worked out well. Maybe out of courtecy for the owner you can now delete the whole thread.
There is no point in keeping a thread alive that might damage someone's livelyhood when everything turned out well.
 
We don't delete threads at Bladeforums. Evidently you've made up your mind about this -- others can do the same. The moderators don't make up your mind for you here; you're allowed to think for yourself. :cool:
