K-Bar 14 1/4 destruction test VIDEO

Dude, can you do this with the USMC kbar as well?. I'm interested =]

Yes I'll do it with the K-bar USMC. I have always wanted to see how tough those are. I've never owned one or used one.

I'll order it tonight. I should have it posted after the first or so.

This will be about all the knife tests I can do for the next month.

However you or anyone else interested in seeing knives they would like to see abused ,until they fail. Post some suggestions. 100 dollars or below price range. I'll consider it.

The k-bar USMC knife is a tough "little" tool, I'm sure there are bigger and badder models out there but I picked mine up for $45 USD on a trip to the states, it's amongst the better $45 dollars I've spent. I haven't done the kind of abuse in the video, but it's been on several trips to the woods.

Noss, I really appreciate how you put these videos together for the benefit of these forums. This was what I would call a real test video, demonstrating extreme abuse to the knife, then performing cutting tests to prove things like edge retention. I hope you continue to create more knife test videos like this in the future because I know that my fellow knife lovers and I really appreciate things like this.
So anyways, keep up the great work! :D

I'd really like to see a USMC Ka Bar test too.

If you guys want to see tests done on all those knives, some expensive, you could send him a little money to help ;) I don't think anyone has 500$ to put on knives just to destroy them.

Update on handle

I set the handle on fire in the rain and it burned for about 35 minutes
after the knife fails, it will indeed make a great fire starter if it is needed
in a survival situation.

Did the knife still cut at the end or during the tests?

The knife still cut it was indeed dull. I cut some poster board in the video.
The end of the blade was less damaged then the center section.

On the next 2 tests Becker BK9---K-Bar USMC I will perform more cutting tests
in the videos. I'm still refining the testing methods.

Thanks for the thought. I don't want to ask anyone for money.
