k bar EK knife upgrade

Hi Guys new to this forum,glad to be here,I have a K bar EK 43
I just ordered and I am planning to make walnut grips for it.
Does anyone know where I could purchase brass x head screws
for the new handle ,thanks in advance for the input.

I would look at a well supplied Ace Hardware first. They have an amazing accumulation of nuts, bolts, screws, etc. (or at least my local one does).

The X-head fasteners are available at no charge upon request to Kabar for available models.

As far as whether the fasteners are brass, I'm not sure. I have a model 4 but I can't tell you cause I don't know. They are coated black.

My original EK bowie acquired in the 1990's has the walnut handles and yes, it has brass fasteners. If I were Kabar, I'd loose the black paint.
