Looking for choppers; Thai e-nep, barongs, parangs, goloks, or any other "ethnic" or tribal blades that I've had so much trouble finding. Also interested in heavy Bowies or other large fixed blades. Leukus would be most welcome! Just let me know what you have, I'll consider all large blades.

The khukuri is the service no. 1 from khukuri house, and has been rehandled in oak by a fellow member here, who did an excellent job. When I got the blade I originally wanted to replace the handle in osage orange, but it was put together so well and the ergonomics were so great that I left it as is. Very comfortable, and lets the user get the most out of the khukuri's potential without killing your hands.

The blade is still in excellent condition, with the exception of some scuffing that comes as a natural result of heavy chopping with a mirror polished blade

The temper superb; my hat goes off to the guy who did the heat-treat on this thing. I've had this blade since January, have chopped firewood from several mesquite and oak logs, and have taken it on 4 camping trips. Through all of the abuse I haven't sharpened or touched up the edge once, and it will still shave curly-cue's on paper. Impressed me very much.

The original rawhide on the scabbard tore during one of the trips, so I took the opportunity to update the sheath a bit by soaking the wood in danish oil, sewed it back up with material cut from an old alice pack, and covered the whole thing in a layer of epoxy. Needless to say it is butt ugly, but is fully functional and much sturdier than the original sheath.

I am interested in the Kukri, can you turn on your email in your user OP, and we can maybe work something out.

Sorry for the late response, I haven't been on in a while. I'll try and turn my email on, still figuring this site out.
