Hey there everybody! Here’s a new K Tip Hunter I’ve finished up!
Steel is .15”x 1 1/4” in O1 tool steel. HT at 60/61 with cryo. Hand sanded to 600 grit for a satin finish. It balances between the guard and ricasso and was about .012” before sharpening.
Dimensions: 9 7/16” OAL, Tip to guard a touch over 4 7/8”
Blued steel guard and Olive wood make up the handle, set off with purple and orange spacers. The insets are crushed red opal. The upper guard is concaved and well rounded for comfortable access to the spine… I call it my Owl’s Ears feature.
I haven’t done a broken back handle like this before but the wood block told me what it needed to be! The sculpted handle feels great in my average sized hand. The blade is nice and snug in the sheath.
$OLD to your US door, and of course your satisfaction is my only priority. Paypal, check or MO, and the price includes fees and free shipping in the US.
Thanks so much for looking and please feel free to ask anything here or via PM.
