I just received my custom Day Hiker fixed blade from knifemaker Kathleen Tomey (www.tomeycustomknives.com). The knife and sheath are excellent, and the whole ordering/waiting experience was top-notch. She answered my many questions and made sure I ended up with a knife that was exactly what I wanted. When you order a knife from a good maker there is going to be a wait. Kathleen kept me updated through emails so I didn't have to wonder what was happening with my knife. The result is I got my Day Hiker knife about when I expected and I'm really happy it.
