K100 steel ??

Subject kinda says it all. A frequent poster Ivan Campos makes japanesse flavored knives of K100. Does anyone know anything about this steel??

X 210 Cr 12 means about this composition : 2.1% Carbon, 0.25 Silicon, 0.30 Manganese and 11.5 Chrome.
At least, that's what my catalog says. It's like D-3 with more chrome.
It should be more edgeholding but less corosion resistant and tough then D-2.
But all depends on the heat-treath.
