Here is a K2 set in 440C. The chef has a 9" blade of .103" thickness stock, 2" wide at it's widest. The utility has a 4 1/2" blade. Machine satin finish, and spine is radiused on both of them. I didn't get it in the picture, but both of them have a full distal taper.
Handles are stabilized elder burl, finished to a medium satin sheen. They are fully contoured, and very comfortable. They are also tapered down toward the edge side, so they will not roll in your hand. Steel was cryo'ed and hardened to 60. Edge thickness is brought down to just under .010 before sharpening. Handle is held in place with epoxy and Corby bolts.
The wooden piggyback sheath was something I was just playing around with, and will throw that in just for kicks. $425 + shipping for the set. ($350 for the chef, and $75 for the utility.)
Thanks for looking,
