K20 | Picture Gallery

Just got my 2 first Carothers blades. Very impressive. The k20 has a totally different feel than the other short swords I have. You call tell it’s fast and more weapon than chopper. And the k18 is just pure badass. Very well done.

Nice picture.....Now ya got all of us playing with Our swords.

I'm trying to bite my tongue here but

if your wakizashi ever strikes you as feeling like a "chopper", it is not a wakizashi. It is a "wakizashi shaped object".

Which is fine

It’s your house, and I always appreciate reading your thoughts.

And while we’re being honest, we all know that those Busse’ are over built. No arguing that.

Just stopped by to share a pic and compliment how much I love the feel, balance, and engineering of the awesome blade you made. Very well done.

I still have to get my hands on one of those super assassin waki shaped objects too.

You win by cutting the other guy first. If it is too heavy it is too slow.
A chopper has more follow through because of weight and more forward balance. This makes it harder to change direction.
Even two handed European swords were not hugely heavy.

You were clear in your posts about wanting to have this be in the same kinetic category as a WAKIZASHI.

Now I'm scared to visit the CPK booth at the next show. Will Nate cut me if he sees me wielding a busse? Am I the other guy?

Only joking... I hope.

But yes, the k20 seems lighting fast. My convex AK has a similar feel. It had a lot of stock removed and balance's at the top of the scales, whilst a couple others are blade heavy, which made me mention more of a chopper feel. I am no ninja, or trained with a sword, but they still are a lot of fun to go out to the woods and beat the snot out of them on young saplings and downed trees. I will not do that with the k20. The FR will not take damage after hitting bolts and aluminum, so I will continue to abuse it and test the limits in fun. These are not purposeful blades in my collection other than having fun with. If I ever need to defend myself in real world situations, I will just pull my pistol.
