Guys I was looking for a tactical Hawk. Some thing well made . I see the K5 hawk for $159 ... It seems well made and I really like the spike design ( tanto ) . Any feed back welcome... WarDawg

If you can get it at that price, great score. As far as hawks go this ones like a tank. Does it come with a sheath? You can get through a card door with it. It does have some weight to it. If your looking for something lighter and faster look into a RMJ Tactical Eagle Talon, Shrike or Kestral. You will pay more and there is a wait. Good luck!

Like NIKO said the K5 is a breaching tool first weapon second. It is heavy duty to say the least

Does anyone know how long their delivery expectations are with K5? On their website it shows they have in excess of 100 units "In Stock" but I placed my order about 4 weeks ago, and haven't heard anything since the confirmation email for my order. I've tried contacting them, phone call, emails - nothing. I don't want to be "that guy" who is harassing them about his hawk, but I saw nothing indicating that there would be any wait let alone an extended wait for delivery. In case you know whats up, let me know...

I am glad to hear that some people here think that make a good product, I looked around quite a bit before placing my order and was torn between the RMJ hawks and the K5 hawks. I went with the one that i thought would give me the most bang for my buck, and be in my greedy little hands the quickest... so far I'm not impressed.

fter a 4 week wait with no word you have every reason to be concerned. I would make another attempt to contact them using phone and email, as well as on their site if possible. Some sites allow customers to check their order status on the site as well.

After that I would send a written inquiry via registered mail. If I really wanted the product. Otherwise I would cancell the charge through the credit card company due to having not recieved the goods.

In the past K5 Tactical has had a horrendous record of customer service, both in delivering their tomahawks and other products they sell and communication. Very, very long wait times, like six months to a year or more.
Always an excuse.

I bought one of the first spike 'hawks he sold. Took 8 weeks after the promised delivery date because of sheath problems. He refused to send the 'hawk with out the sheath which i will never understand. A search on this board will reveal a lot of frustration with this company because of their lengthy delivery times and poor customer communication

Call your credit card company and reverse the charge. You'll never see that hawk.

Dispute the charge with your CC company and then order the RMJ Forge Eagle Talon. Ryan Johnson makes great stuff and the wait is worth it.

I had hoped things improved as I was one of his original customers. However, it appears some old patterns have cropped up again. A shame, really.

Have you heard anything yet ???? I had K5 on my list but looks like I will scratch it off. WarDawg

I got my K5 Utilty/spiked in about 6 weeks. It is built like a tank, way too much for EDC or strapping to pack. Currently rides with my vehicle as an all purpose demo and recycling axe. I also had concerns about my order and was dissapointed with the "customer service". I'm currently in the process of replacing the aluminum handle scales with something more hand-freindly and building a sheath for the monster but I have found it to be just about as indestructable as was promised. just my 2 cents. best to all Anrkst

Sorry..Forgot to put this on. If you really want something with a spiked poll that light enough to carry around all day and chops well, hold its edge really well and is as tough as they come...I highly recommend you look at ATC. They have both the V-Tac like mine and the Silsbee Commanche if you want an all steel with slab handles. Andy is most personable and a joy to do business with.

i got angry and canceled my order he told me he had everything in stock thenn the promised delivery date came and went .he took my call once but never again and would not return any calls.i guess ive got some nerve being a paying customer who has time to deal with something like that wish i was so wealthy i could blow off all my customers:mad:

This is Eddies business as usual. I went through this with him for 18 months.I would call him once a month (he never contacted me on his own). Each time I was told that he was sending the hawk out within either 10 days or two weeks. He would give me an excuse about why it hadn't been sent out the last time. Oi. I then had to call him a liar on a public forum to get my money back as it took two months from the time I asked him to refund me. I am amazed that he is still in business. I assume that he is selling these things to fire and police dept. and ignoring individual sales for the most part. Who knows? I would love to see him respond to this thread. Hey, Eddie, you out there? Hello? Is this thing on?

After reading this, I'm glad I went with ATC when I was buying tactical stuff. I looked real hard at K5, but liked the LaGana better. Hard to believe this guy is still in business.
