Ka-bar 1190 jack knife: Your impressions?

I've been eyeing a Kabar 1190 slipjoint that I've seen for sale and I really like it but know nothing about it other than it's closed length. Anyone here on the porch own one? Anything to look out for? Is it a decent knife? I'm trying to figure out if it's a worthwhile purchase. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I think they were made by Queen... so it probably depends on the individual knife. @paulhilborn Didn’t you have one of these?

Hey thanks! I guess then it depends on what era it was made. Blade steel is only listed as stainless. I'm going to guess it's 440c. Was hoping it was high carbon.

Had and gone, never should have gotten rid of it. Great knife, Queen made if memory serves and I believe 440c is correct
